Michele Carey, known by her birth name Michele Lee Henson, born in Annapolis, Maryland, United States of America, is the daughter of Stanley Willard Henson, Jr physician and Thelma Brennell Henson. When she was thirteen, she became an expert pianist, and was crowned the winner of a contest at the Chicago Music Festival.
